Here is an update on the situation:
Bossip reports, Maraj’s case – currently in Nassau County Supreme Court’s sex crimes division – was sent to a grand jury March 3, court officials told BOSSIP, and the Nassau County District Attorney is working with the panel to determine whether or not they should indict him.
During the grand jury hearings, which are closed to the public, no judge is present, and the jurors hear from witnesses and review evidence to figure out if they should move forward with an indictment.Maraj has been charged with felony sexual conduct against a child in the first degree, and first-degree rape, also a felony. If he’s convicted, he faces up to 50 years in prison.
